The official trailer for MaXXXine, the upcoming final instalment in Ti West's slasher trilogy, features the return of Mia Goth as the titular aspiring movie star and a familiar face from Maxine's past. MaXXXine serves as a direct sequel to X (2021), the first film in the trilogy which centered on the film crew of an amateur porn shoot on a rural Texas farm in 1979, who get slaughtered one-by-one by an elderly woman named Pearl (also played by Mia Goth in old-age makeup). Goth also played the younger version of Pearl in the character's eponymous prequel movie in 2022.
