Arthur Fleck will return in Joker: Folie à Deux, and he will bring with him a whole new ensemble. Todd Phillips's 2019 movie Joker became one of 2019's biggest movies, earning over $1 billion worldwide, with Phoenix's performance as Fleck being particularly well-received. It's certainly a non-traditional DC movie with its lack of superheroes, but it clearly struck a chord with audiences.
