The first Uncharted movie altered the backstory of Tom Holland's Nathan Drake so severely that his eventual reunion with another character in the sequel will lose a lot of its emotional impact. Drake's age was one of the biggest changes Sony made to the Uncharted movies when compared to the games, and the story's protagonist being made younger alters the source material in a very notable way. While Uncharted 2 hasn't yet been confirmed, the financial success of the first movie and comments from the film's stars suggest the sequel is inevitable.
