Fly Me To The Moon takes place in the midst of the Space Race in the 1960s. As America tries to beat the Soviet Union to the moon, NASA faces a public image crisis that threatens its funding. Desperate for help, they consult a marketing specialist, a move that rubs the scientist the wrong way. As she works to change public perception of NASA, she is also at the center of a backup plan to fake the moon landing in case something goes wrong with the mission, much to the annoyance of the team working to get the astronauts to the moon.
