The first trailer for Bong Joon-ho's Mickey 17 has been released. The Academy Award-winning Parasite director is adapting the science-fiction novel Mickey 7 written by Edward Ashton, with a star-studded cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. The film was originally scheduled for March 29, 2024, but was pulled from the release calendar following delays from the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. It was rescheduled for a January 31, 2025 debut, which will include a release in IMAX theaters.
