HBO, which became a Warner Bros. property in 2022, has been expanding its Game of Thrones universe through television spinoffs. As the original Game of Thrones saw massive success with this storytelling medium, it makes sense that its first few additions to the franchise have been the same format. Recent news confirms that the fantasy franchise will expand beyond projects like House of the Dragon, however.
