Dave Sheridan has confirmed the return of a legendary horror icon for Scary Movie 6. The successful film series began with Scary Movie in 2000, a comedy-horror that parodied iconic slasher and horror movies from years past. A box office success, the movie earned $278 million against its production budget of $19 million and spawned four sequels, the latest of which was 2013's Scary Movie 5. The Scary Movie reboot is set for a 2025 release, with some of the franchise's legacy characters expected to return.
