While Rick and Morty season 6s Thanksgiving special isnt perfect, the episode is an important part of the shows history. Rick and Morty has changed a lot since the anarchic sci-fi comedy series debuted on Adult Swim in 2013. What started life as a ribald parody of Back to the Future soon became a critically acclaimed cult phenomenon and, eventually, a massive mainstream hit. Rick and Morty season 8 is on track to be the shows biggest outing yet, and the series has already been renewed through to season 12 as of October 2024.
