Ryan Reynolds' comments concerning Deadpool's MCU future after Deadpool & Wolverine suggest the Merc with a Mouth could copy exactly what Tony Stark's Iron Man did back in Phase 3. After portraying Wade Wilson's Deadpool in two self-titled movies in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise, Reynolds officially joined the MCU in 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine. Despite Deadpool & Wolverine's massive success, however, the future for Reynolds' hilarious MCU antihero is uncertain, but it could follow the same trajectory as one original Avenger.
