Some of the most criticized and overlooked elements of the Star Wars franchise are beginning to see a resurgence of recognition in recent properties. At nearly 50 years old, the massive multimedia Star Wars franchise has, unsurprisingly, not always pleased viewers, with some properties – such as the sequel trilogy – being the subject of intense criticism. Moreover, with two main continuities and decades of stories told across multiple mediums, many Star Wars stories are simply obscure to the point of being forgotten by all but the most steadfast viewers.
