Despite animation's reputation of being for kids, some of the best anime are also the goriest. It might not be for everyone, but for those who are interested in blood and viscera, few mediums can beat anime. Without the limitations of gore in live-action, anime is free to be incredibly creative, and incredibly detailed, with its extreme level of violence.
