DC's New Batman Series Sets Up The Next DC Animated Universe

The DC Animated Universe was easily one of the best and most ambitious projects in the superhero genre, but it needs a successor. The DCAU began with Batman: The Animated Series, back in 1993. From there, parallel stories were introduced, with a Superman show, Batman sequels and spin-offs, and eventually shows that saw the heroes join forces, like Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
