45 years after the original Star Wars, since retitled to A New Hope, its story was a core aspect in The Book of Boba Fett- particularly through the official canonization of a previously deleted scene. Despite the mixed reviews it received, The Book of Boba Fett accomplished a lot for Star Wars canon, especially for the original trilogy. It not only showed how Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc pit, paying homage to a hilarious scene from the sitcom Parks & Rec in the process, but it also dove deeper into the lore of Tatooine itself.
