One of Black Panther's most memorable characters was going to be getting her own spin-off series, presumably titled Okoye, but that is no longer the case, as the MCU canceled development on a number of projects. Leading Wakanda's all-female military contingent, the Dora Milaje, Okoye became a fan-favorite character after her debut in 2018's Black Panther. Okoye also appeared in several other projects in the MCU timeline, including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Danai Gurira reprised her role in the Marvel anthology series What..If? as well as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which was the last appearance of the character.
