Star Wars: New Jedi Order has the opportunity to give Leia Organa a legacy she has not been provided with in canon thus far. One of many upcoming Star Wars movies is still set to feature the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker. While we have no official confirmation on the name of the movie thus far, the provisionally titled New Jedi Order story will be set 15 years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and feature Rey rebuilding the band of Force warriors that have been lost since the prequels.
