Even if an actor puts a lot of work into one of their movies, their opinions on the finished product can soon change, and there have been some cases of actors begging audiences to ignore their movies. This goes against the grain of the usual Hollywood model, in which actors promote their own movies relentlessly on talk shows and press junkets, but sometimes a movie is so bad that actors can't hide their regret.
