Rotten Tomatoes' list of the 300 best movies of all time includes some surprising choices. The Rotten Tomatoes team behind this list would likely have wanted to include movies based on true quality, rather than just what movies are supposedly the best, based on their status in the cultural zeitgeist. However, movies like this are so highly regarded for a reason, and the fact that some recently popular movies would rank above them is still surprising.
