In Tatsuya Endo's still-small world of Spy x Family, the story takes place in Ostania with glimpses of its neighboring nation, Westalis, as a war of deception and espionage is quietly waged between them. Readers might not realize it sometimes, but the geopolitics of the series are carefully constructed both as a reference to Cold War-era East and West Germany and Europe in a larger sense. However, the latest side chapter, Spy x Family chapter #98.1, hints that Endo's series could undergo a surprising expansion with his trip to England.
