While the third movie remains in an unclear state of limbo, original star Alanna Ubach has an exciting response to her potential Legally Blonde 3 return. Ubach rose to prominence playing the character of Serena McGuire, best friend and sorority sister to Reese Witherspoon's leading lady Elle Woods in MGM's 2001 hit rom-com, which was a box office success, taking over $140 million worldwide, against a budget of $18 million. Ubach also reprised her role in the marginally less successful sequel Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, and went on to appear in such successful shows as Californication and Euphoria.
