A 4-year-old Jake Gyllenhaal remake has an underwhelming Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 50%, but his new show finally redeems it. Although Jake Gyllenhaal has dabbled with myriad genres and diverse roles throughout his action career, he has been appearing in a lot of remakes lately. Only a few years ago, he was seen in Netflix's The Guilty, which is a remake of a highly acclaimed Polish film. Recently, he also starred in Amazon's Road House, which is a remake of the 1989 movie of the same name.
