Portrayed by Paulina Chávez, Ariana was introduced in episode 2 of the Taylor Sheridan-co-created show, being the widow of Elvio and mourning the loss of her husband and his family in the episode 1 oil rig explosion in which Jacob Lofland's Cooper was the only survivor. While the rest of Elvio's family turned to blaming Cooper for the accident, Ariana proved to be the outlier, recognizing his desire to help and shared trauma over the incident.
