40 Years Later, Stand By Me Is Still The Best Non-Horror Stephen King Movie (Despite What IMDb Says)

Many adaptations of Stephen King novels have been excellent, and outside the horror genre, Stand by Me is the best. While King is largely known for horror stories, some of the best Stephen King movies have been looser with their genre conventions. The Green Mile and last year's The Life of Chuck are great examples of this working so well.
