Jim Carrey & WB's The Jetsons Reboot Means A Major Change To The Classic Sci-Fi

Beloved comedian and actor Jim Carrey will officially be the lead of a brand-new project rebooting the 1962 animated sci-fi series The Jetsons, and while that's thrilling given Carrey's many brilliant roles and his obvious acting chops, it does mean a major change to the original show. The Jetsons debuted 64 years ago, centered on the titular family, the Jetsons, comprising the father, George; the mother, Jane; and the children, Judy and Elroy (and their dog, Astro, who shouldn't be left out). Although the show debuted in 1962, it was actually set 100 years in the future, in the 2060s.
